The man accused in an attack against an 11-year-old boy at school in Brampton told the victim to “get over here” before knocking the child off of his scooter and punching him, Peel police say.
The boy then swung his scooter and hit the suspect, causing him to flee, police said in a news release Thursday.
Police on Thursday released new details of the attack, which happened outside Sunny View Public School, and called on the public for help in the investigation.
The victim went to the school and was treated by paramedics. He suffered minor injuries, police said.
The man is described as light skinned, late teens to early twenties, wearing a black hoodie, blue or black pants and blue or black Nike shoes.
Police said he was on foot.
Police are asking anyone with information to call 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at (905) 453-2121, ext. 2133 or Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, extension 8477.
