What’s happening in Toronto this weekend: lots of food festivals, and Danny Green returns

  • The German consulate general is hosting Toronto’s first German food festival Sunday. You can check out Taste of Germany at Evergreen Brick Works from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Former Toronto Raptors shooting guard Danny Green is back in town Saturday and will be hosting a podcast with his co-host Harrison Sanford at the Rec Room. Tickets are $49.99 and they’ll be joined by Superfan Nav Bhatia and former Raptors assistant coach Phil Handy.
  • More than 41,000 visitors from around the world are in town for the Toronto International Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses at Exhibition Place. GO Transit is running extra trains this weekend.
  • There will also be no service all weekend between Lawrence and St. Clair Stations on Line 1 due to construction on the Eglinton Crosstown. Shuttle buses will operate between the two stations.
