Police say a man has been arrested following the death of a woman near Dovercourt Park on Thursday.
The suspect, identified as Matthew Larmon, 43, of Toronto, was arrested Friday evening and is being charged with one count of manslaughter.
Firefighters and paramedics first responded to a medical call in the Bloor St. W. and Bartlett Ave. area shortly after midnight on Thursday, police said in a press release.
A woman, identified as Kathryn Niedoba, 36, of Toronto, was located on scene with life-threatening injuries. Niedoba was pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital despite life-saving efforts, police said.
Larmon was scheduled to appear in court Saturday morning.
