Hamilton mobster Pat Musitano’s home listed for sale for $699,900

HAMILTON—The family home of a notorious Hamilton mobster could be yours for $699,900.

The four-bedroom, two-bathroom single-family home of mobster Pat Musitano at 206 St. Clair Blvd. is now on the market. The sale comes in the wake of a spate of violent incidents at the address in recent years.

Needless to say, that’s not part of the sales pitch.

“Love big old homes? You’ve definitely found your dream home on a beautiful tree lined boulevard,” reads the listing description. “Filled with character and charm.”

Realtor Ann Cosens declined to discuss the home’s sale — or potential stigma attached to it.

“I feel that everything that needs to be known is out there on the web under realtor.ca,” she said.

And looky-loos gunning for a rare chance to poke around inside a mob home will be out of luck.

There will be no open house, Cosens said.

What clues were left in car that crashed in front of Musitano’s house?

Musitano expected to survive Mississauga shooting

Among the recent incidents at the address: a daytime head-on car crash that injured a 76-year-old Musitano family friend in late July, a spray of bullets fired at the home in June 2017 and an SUV set ablaze in the driveway in September 2015.

In May 2017, Musitano’s younger brother Angelo was shot dead in the driveway of his Waterdown home.

Then, in April 2019, Pat Musitano was shot multiple times — including in the head — outside his Mississauga lawyer’s office. He suffered life-threatening injuries but survived. It’s unclear if he returned to live at the St. Clair Blvd. home after he was released from hospital the following month.

Meanwhile, at least one neighbour said she’s had real estate trouble she attributes to the crime neighbours.

Musitano’s next door neighbour said she pulled her house off the market last month after trying to sell it for nearly six months. She suspected would-be buyers didn’t want to live next to the crime family.

Listing photos of 206 St. Clair Blvd. show a sparsely-decorated, spacious home with gilded accents, large leather couches and a large TV in the family room.

Selling features include hardwood floors, gumwood trim, leaded glass windows, cherry cabinets in the kitchen and two decorative fireplaces. It comes with an alarm system.

The shed is “super sized” and has hydro. The lawn is made of artificial grass. The backyard is fully fenced “for your privacy,” reads the listing description.

Furniture is negotiable.

The Musitanos are a well-known Hamilton crime family, once considered to be one of three Italian mob families vying for control of the territory in the city.

It remains unclear where the Musitanos are moving or if they’ve already moved.
