Partial derailment causing commuter chaos between Jane and Ossington stations

There are major delays along the Bloor subway line this morning.

The portion of the line between Jane and Ossington stations is closed in both directions as the TTC deals with mechanical problems.

“Our crews are reporting a partial derailment of one of the middle cars of a train that was leaving Keele Yard. It was not in service,” wrote TTC spokesperson Stuart Green in a tweet. “Currently assessing the cause and re-railing plan, but this will take a few hours to resolve.”

About 100 shuttles have been ordered to run between the stations along Bloor Street. The interruption began just after 6 a.m.

Passengers can use their TTC fare to access Go Transit at Union, Dundas West and Kipling stations in the meantime as well.
