Three pedestrians struck by driver near Mel Lastman Square in North York

Two men and one woman have been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a driver struck them Friday morning in North York.

Emergency crews responded to reports of multiple pedestrians being hit by a driver at Yonge Street and Park Home Avenue, near Mel Lastman Square, police tweeted at around 8:15 a.m.

The car rolled over and crashed into a nearby building, police said in their tweet, adding that there was a gas leak because of the collision.

The northbound lanes on Yonge are closed at the intersection, as are the westbound lanes on Park Home.
